Wallington Veterans Memorial Library

When it was time for the Borough of Wallington’s public library to receive its own building, Neglia Group was ready for the challenge. The new modern library replaced an older, underutilized VFW property, reclaiming the land for the benefit of the whole community. Neglia’s design maximized the use of the property while maintaining its historical aspects. The site included two pump stations, a World War II Memorial, and three basketball courts that required preservation. Neglia redesigned the drainage system, compiled with FEMA floodplain and NJDEP regulations, and met all the Borough’s requirements by making this site inclusive and accessible to all. As a multi-use project, the site features encourage physical, academic, and social health.
