Professional Civil Engineer / Client Manager

Experience and Requirements

  • Professional Engineer’s License in good standing in New Jersey.
  • Candidate should possess good communication, verbal, and technical writing skills. As well as handling client and public meetings.
  • Ability to project manage including budgets and due dates.
  • Familiarity with regulating permitting.
  • Professional Planning License a plus, but not required.
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of engineering plans, specifications and costs for municipalities capital improvement projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project planning, including providing recommendations, preparing cost estimates, and developing solutions
  • Site plan design and preparation of specifications
  • Preparation of and management of NJDOT Local Aid, Open Space, and CDBG grant applications and programs.
  • Represent the Firm at Public Meetings
  • Financial project tracking and budget analysis
  • Provide project team support (internal and external)
  • High level client interaction and management
  • Coordination of project tasks with sub-consultants
  • Preparation of Public Bid Documents

Traffic Division Manager

Neglia Group is seeking a Division Manager to lead and grow our Traffic Engineering Division at our Lyndhurst, New Jersey location. The position is presented as an opportunity to grow a division with a solid client base that needs the next level of service from a focused and driven manager that brings insightful solutions to intractable local congestion issues.
We are looking for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and technology minded individual who will be responsible for the management of municipal and regional traffic engineering and transportation planning work such as NJDOT Access Permits, Traffic Impact Studies, review of traffic submittals by land use board applicants and the appearances before land use boards as an expert in traffic engineering.
Our services extend throughout northern and central New Jersey and into New York. The successful candidate will report to the firm’s Director of Transportation.

Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with associated Transportation Engineering coursework
  • Professional Engineering license preferred but willing to interview licensure candidates
  • 4 years of Transportation Engineering experience and knowledge of general civil engineering and surveying related projects
  • Working knowledge of capacity and level of service software such as HCS
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD a plus
  • Ability and willingness to perform field work when needed
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate in both verbal and written form
  • A valid New Jersey Driver’s license

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely implementation of Transportation Engineering related projects
  • Assist in the development and oversight of Transportation Engineering projects including defining requirements and tasks to ensure deadlines are met
  • Scope and execute Transportation Engineering projects such as traffic studies and signal designs
  • Provide succinct and coherent testimony before New Jersey Municipal Planning and Zoning Boards
  • Communicate with internal and external clients in a professional manner

  • Familiarity with analyzing local zoning ordinances and NJDEP permitting is a plus but not required.

Neglia Group is looking for a talented Receptionist/Administrative Assistant for our Lyndhurst location. As a receptionist you will be the first point of contact for our Company. Our receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the company. You will welcome guests and greet clients who visit the company. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.

To be a successful Receptionist/Administrative Assistant you must have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. Multi-tasking skills are essential for this position, this area can be very hectic and busy all day long.

Ultimately, the duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes guests positively and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Answer a high volume of calls, which would be screened carefully and forwarded to appropriate party
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
  • Receive, sort and distribute mail/deliveries

Survey CAD Technician

Neglia Group is seeking a full-time Survey CAD Technician to join our expanding Survey / Geospatial Department and work at our Lyndhurst or Mountainside, New Jersey locations. We are looking for a highly motivated and technology minded individual who will be responsible for the use of AutoCAD (Civil3D) to draft survey related projects including preparation of Tax Maps.

Our services extend throughout northern and central New Jersey and into New York. We are looking to expand our surveying department and the successful candidate will report to the firm’s Director of Surveying/Geospatial.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work under minimum supervision to import survey data and prepare final drawings
  • Prepare Tax Maps in accordance with State Regulations
  • Analyze notes, sketches, and other survey related data and plan the best approach to develop and complete the drawings within project deadlines
  • Prepare quality and detailed mapping within budget and responsive to clients’ needs

Experience and Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and processing survey computations
  • Ability to plot deeds and filed maps
  • Good technical skills; works independent but also works well within a team environment, problem solver, methodical, consistent, quick learner, detail oriented
  • Good understanding of survey requirements and regulations
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the team
