Garden Orchard Recreation Complex

What was once an unused and unattractive industrial building is now a brand-new turf field with nighttime lighting, concession area, playground, retaining wall, walking path, and parking lot. Neglia Group was a huge part of the effort to convert the underutilized land into a space for Carlstadt community athletics and fun. The project included the installation of a robust site drainage system to mitigate flooding conditions. An important part of the design involved taking care that the land and soil provided adequate support for the Recreation Complex, including the environmental capping of the land, installation of a demarcation layer, and over-excavation and replacement of existing fill materials. The site was remediated and repurposed for the benefit of the Borough, now offering a new center of recreation to bring the Carlstadt community together.
