Zimmermann Park

The Borough of Carlstadt selected Neglia Group to improve Zimmermann Park. The improvements included terraced sitting areas, access ramps and walkways, retaining walls, site furnishings, and landscaping. Additional improvements involved site clearing, grading and earthwork, trail restoration, fencing, lighting, pavers, and the addition of a historic fountain. The steep slope of the wooded area is now accessible again for the first time since the 1940s. The restoration of the park helped create a safer and cleaner park environment that can withstand rain and snow. The park was designed to prevent dirt washing into the street. Trees, shrubs, benches, and tables were also added to the project.
