Neglia Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Professional Civil Engineer (PE) to join our teams in Lyndhurst, NJ, and Mountainside, NJ, as a Project Manager for civil engineering projects in the municipal and private sectors. The ideal candidate will hold an active New Jersey PE license and bring 4+ years of hands-on experience in civil and/or municipal engineering, with a strong background in managing projects from concept through construction.

Experience and Requirements

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing in New Jersey
  • 4+ years of experience in civil engineering, with emphasis on municipal and/or private development projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and oversight of multidisciplinary teams

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead conceptual design, full site plan designincluding grading,stormwater managementand utilities, and preparation of detailed specifications and construction documents for municipal infrastructure and private development projects
  • Oversee project planning, including developing recommendations, preparing accurate cost estimates, evaluating alternatives, and identifying optimal engineering solutions
  • Perform financial project tracking, budget monitoring, variance analysis, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare public bid documents, including plans, specifications, and contract packages compliant with local, state, and federal requirements
  • Manage, mentor, and train engineering staff and project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and professional development
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines (e.g., surveying,GIS, planning, landscape architecture,traffic, construction management) and external consultants to deliver integrated project outcomes
