C. E. Doyle Elementary School Playground

Wood-Ridge, NJ

The Borough of Wood-Ridge Board of Education, in conjunction with the Borough of Wood-Ridge Administration, engaged Neglia Group to provide several options for developing a new playground for the Pre-K to 4th grade C. E. Doyle Elementary School. Below are the project details of the services that were provided.

• Elements include a motion themed playground with supporting designs in the playground safety surface, painted learning games on an asphalt area that can be used for multi-purpose games and as a performance space, covered pavilion seating area that can be used for an outdoor classroom or afterhours as a picnic area, raised planters for teaching gardens, ornamental plantings, and site landscaping
• The planted area between the 2-5 year old area and the 5-12 year old area will be developed as a bioswale, as a sustainable means to address site stormwater
